Thirty years of building in Pakistan: a cybercafé in 1997, the country's first online store, a world record, a courier business that failed, and a coworking company built after it. Not a success story — a method. Abid walks through the three mental models that kept him building when the capital, the market, or the country gave way: Minus Capital (how to start when you have less than nothing), the Evidence Portfolio (how to earn trust before you have a track record), and the TRY ME mindset (how to treat every obstacle as an invitation). Audiences leave with a way to look at their own setbacks, and three tools they can use on Monday. Formats: keynote 30–60 min · fireside · half-day workshop.
A practical session on launching without money, connections, or permission — the playbook behind Beliscity, DailyDeal and WorkMore. For founders, students, and anyone sitting on an idea.
From the first cybercafé to AI agencies: what actually worked in 30 years of Pakistani tech, what failed and why, and where the next decade's opportunities are. For conferences, corporates and policy audiences.
Hands-on: the AI tools and automations a Pakistani business can deploy this month to cut costs and move faster. Built on what Wepronex does for real clients.
Straight talk for students: real stories, real failures, and a path from "I have nothing" to "I built something." Delivered in English or Urdu.

Abid Beli is a Karachi-based entrepreneur, keynote speaker and author of The Resilience Architect. Over 30 years he has built Pakistan's first online store, set a world record, launched Asia's first smartphone film festival, and founded WorkMore, Karachi's day-and-night coworking space. He speaks on resilience, entrepreneurship and Pakistan's digital economy.
Abid Beli has been building businesses in Pakistan since 1993 — through market crashes, partner betrayals, and a country that rarely makes it easy. He launched Pakistan's first cybercafé (1997), its first online store, Beliscity.com (2001), and its first deals website; organised a world record for the largest national anthem gathering (2011); and founded Asia's first smartphone film festival (2015). Today he is CEO of WorkMore, Karachi's day-and-night coworking space, and founder of Wepronex, an AI automation agency. His book, The Resilience Architect, turns three decades of starting over into frameworks anyone can use. He speaks in English and Urdu across Pakistan and the Gulf.
Our next speaker started his first business in Karachi in 1993 and hasn't stopped since. He built Pakistan's first online store before the country had online banking. He set a world record by getting 5,857 people to sing the national anthem together. He launched Asia's first smartphone film festival. He has also lost businesses to robberies, to partners, and to market crashes — and started again every time. Today he runs WorkMore, Karachi's day-and-night coworking space, and he's the author of The Resilience Architect, a book about how to keep building when everything says stop. He says he's not a success story — he's a method. Please welcome Abid Beli.
